Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous publications and many awards to her credit, is also the recipient of a variety of international and national awards. She has worked with a variety of organisations and governments all over the world to conduct research and policies relating to child victims of the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member and International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
