Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known Ashanti. Ashanti was birthed on the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a songwriter, singer and actor who hails from the United States. Ashanti began her professional career as a teenager, and was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. In the same year, she also featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which turned into huge smashes. When she released"What's Luv in the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one with Foolish being her first single, she was the first female to reach this feat. The Declaration the fourth studio album, was released on June 3, 2008. On October 16 Hey Baby (After the Club) was released to the radio and online outlets. The actress has appeared in the films Christmas in the City as in Army Wives. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British singer Aitch to accompany his track Baby in March 10, 2022.
